The bears lived atop of the clouds in a land called Care-A-Lot. They made trips to Earth when the "Caring Meter" showed there was a need for some little boy or girl to have peace and love. If things got out of hand, the bears would use their "Care Bear Stare" to shoot beams of good will from their tummy's to the targeted villain (No-Heart, Dark-Heart, Cold-Heart, etc.). The Care Bear Cousins resided in the Forest of Feelings and were always on duty to help the Care Bears.

The Care Bears were made in the beauty of the 80s. They were in movies - The Care Bears Movie, The Care Bears Movie II: The Next Generation, Care Bears Nutcracker Suite, and The Care Bears Adventure In Wonderland. There are also other short Care Bear movies, such as Care Bears - Great Moments in Caring, Care Bears Family Picnic and others. They were on ABC's Saturday Morning Cartoons - "The Care Bear Family." There are many, many plush Care Bear toys, as well as lunchboxes, keychains, clothes, and more.
